Our oldest child started at LAC Preschool in the 3s. The small class size and nurturing teaching staff facilitated an environment that was fun and comfortable, making her transition to school easy. Her experience was so positive that our younger two children each started in the 2s program. Our children have thrived at LAC, forming close bonds with their friends and teachers. Most exciting to us is that they are genuinely excited about learning. As working parents, we do not have daily face-to-face interactions with our kids’ teachers, but we have always felt connected, informed and welcome in the classroom. The teachers are excited to incorporate parents, caregivers and relatives as readers, cultural presenters, trip chaperones and baking assistants. LAC Preschool has been a great fit for our family!

My son had a wonderful experience in the 2’s program. He enjoyed the regular circle time, reading, singing, as well as the arts and crafts. He came home so happy and full of fun stories.

In addition to my son’s wonderful experience, my husband and I got to know the teachers and other parents well. There is a strong community within this program for the entire family.

My son had a wonderful two years at LAC, both in the 3’s and 4’s program as well as the extended day enrichment program.  For a child who takes time to adjust to new situations, he enjoyed going to school each day, loved all of his teachers, and grew so much during his time there.  During his time in the 3’s, he asked to stay for lunch and a longer day, which we repeated again in the 4’s program – he was excited to be part of the “lunch bunch” and learning science as well.  In addition, time at the playground and in the big room, and music/movement were big highlights.  We were sad to see his time at LAC end, but look forward to the next three years for our younger son who will soon be starting the 2’s program.

We’ve had a wonderful experience at LAC Preschool as a family. Our daughter Margaux joined last year for her first year of school, speaking mostly French and while she understood English, barely spoke it. Very quickly, she blossomed from a shy little girl into a social butterfly and now speaks English nearly as well as French. She made many friends, loved her teachers who were all very nurturing and caring, and came to school running and excited to see everyone. Vacation time was actually the hardest as she missed everyone. As a parent I also found there was a very strong bond among the LAC parents and many of us became very good friends and children and parents were happy getting together outside of school. We were also very happy with the curriculum which was traditional and emphasized on knowing the world around them in a playful way and setting strong basics. The teachers were also excellent at communicating weekly lesson plans and feedback on the children’s activities. I highly recommend LAC Preschool and couldn’t have been happier to have chosen it for our daughter.
